It’s been a challenging few months around the world, and in our local community too, but everyone is finally starting to crawl out of COVID-19 restrictions. While we loved sharing our DIY crafty ideas online to keep you busy in isolation, we’re so excited to be re-opening our doors!
We can’t wait to welcome back all your familiar faces – and plenty of new ones too! Here is what you can expect from Kakes & Biscuits this month.
There is something oh-so-relaxing about chatting over a glass of wine with the girls, so what better way to kick things off than with our Ladies Macramé Workshop last Saturday. It seems like plenty of local women were keen to let their hair down for the night, because tickets to this event sold out well before the night.
The following day was our Ladies’ Clay Dish and Ring Holder afternoon, where we got crafty while enjoying cocktails, plenty of laughs and a platter of sumptuous goodies from Osteria. Tickets practically walked out the door for this one too.
Our next ladies’ night is a Rainbow class on the 26th of June, and you can sign up here.
Now that we’ve treated the ladies of the house, it’s time to look after the little ones.
Our Mini Crafters is back! After plenty of time inside, it’s probably more important than ever to give your little one a place to channel their creativity and energy. These one-hour structured, and interactive sessions are an opportunity for your child to play with paint, glue, glitter, crayons, play dough and much more. And the best part? After dropping off your 3 - 5-year-old, you can enjoy a coffee and a chat with your girlfriends in the café.
Classes are running on Tuesday and Wednesday. Click here to sign-up.
Just as life started to return to normal, it’s almost holiday time! We’re busy getting our holiday workshops ready in time for the school break, and we’ve got plenty of fun-filled activities to keep your kids busy. Drop your child off for an hour, two or even a day, and they could return home an artist, sculptor designer or creative.
Check out our workshops here. Remember you can use your Creative Kids Vouchers for these too!
Isolation restrictions are easing, which means kids are keen to catch up with their mates and make up for lost time. Of course, that means birthday parties are back on the cards too! With craft, nerf or fairy themes to choose from, our parties are an opportunity for your child’s creativity to go wild. You can find more information here.
We are mindful of following the latest social distancing recommendations from the Australian Federal Government, so
feel free to get in touch to discuss how we can
make your child’s birthday one to remember.
Arts and Craft
Are you sick of cleaning up art mess at home? Our crafty classes are back on the calendar after being cut short earlier this year. We are running make-up classes for the rest of the term, and we’re excited to welcome the kids back to finish off their masterpieces. Whether your child is a buddy artist, knitter, sculptor, painter or doodler, these classes are an opportunity for your little one to get creative – without you have to deal with the mess!
Book your child in for our after-school classes here.
In the frenzy of shutdowns during COVID-19, Lolita’s Cantina opened the doors to their new kitchen. As we’re located in the gardens behind the restaurant, we’re here to take the kids off your hands while you indulge in their delicious Mexican food. Our experienced childminders are onsite Friday and Saturday, between 5.30 pm and 9.00 pm.
The safety of our clients and staff is always our number one priority, and we’re taking extra precautions to ensure we are following the latest recommendations of the Australian Federal Government. You can contact our team if you would like to discuss this further.
We’ve missed your beautiful faces, and we can’t wait to get crafty and make new memories together soon!
